Our Local CSA Guide
Purchasing a CSA is an incredibly effective way to support local agriculture in your community, but knowing where to start can be intimidating. That’s why we decided to make this digital CSA guide. We collected information from our vendor community and friends of the market to help you have all the information you need to choose a CSA. Reach out to each individual farm to learn more about their CSA. If you are a local farm interested in being featured, please email kmackinnon@bcfm.org or fill out this form.
Invest in the Future of Farming
Click on the name of a farm below to learn more about their CSA offerings. Purchasing a CSA early in the season helps farmers afford the many costs of growing our food, including planting seeds, purchasing equipment, hiring staff, and getting ready for the first harvest.

Customizable Share: This share allows you the most control over what you receive each week. Don’t like a certain veggie? No problem! You set your vegetable preferences at the time of sign-up. Each week (or every other week if you choose bi-weekly) we build your veggie share based on your preferences and you can swap items in and out (from your device at home on Mondays) to refine what you get each week. You can also easily purchase extra items anytime you want. The value for each item is consistently equal to retail value (i.e. prices we post at our Farm Stand and Farmers Markets). You will also be able to choose between a “regular” size and a “small” size.
Farmers Choice Share: This is the most traditional CSA model and offers you a discount on the seasonal produce, so you get more each week. Each week your share will be filled with a mix of great veggies chosen by the Farmers focusing on what is abundant and in-season on the Farm. You receive more when the Farm produces more. Your weekly (or bi-weekly) share will reflect 10-15% off retail value (i.e. prices we post at our Farm Stand and Farmers Markets). You will still know a few days ahead what most of your share will contain, along with a few surprises!
Fall Share: The Fall share runs from October 21 – December 2. Fall Share has 8 vegetable shares provided over a 7 week period – there will be a double cost/value share the week of Thanksgiving! The Fall share is only available as a regular size, Farmer’s Choice box.
We also offer “secondary” shares you can sign-up for if you have already purchased a veggie share: Flower Share, Fruit Share (in partnership with Ela Family Farm), and a Bread Share (in partnership with Moxie Bread Co.)
Paying in full saves you the most and helps the Farm with costs before we have crops to harvest. At Aspen Moon Farm we are dedicated to providing our CSA members with top-quality seasonal produce that puts the freshest possible local food on your table every week. We are USDA certified organic and use biodynamic practices to grow the best food possible for you. In return, you give your support: financially, which ensures your local farm can meet the annual upfront costs of seasonal production; and by committing to buy local produce all summer long and fueling local agriculture. Together we are building a local food system! Get your CSA with Aspen Moon Farm and pick it up in Longmont (at the farm), Boulder, or Denver.

Support Local Agriculture! By purchasing a share, you are investing in your health and the health of the land. Your support helps preserve the disappearing tradition of local agriculture and ensures that your neighbors, your local small-scale farmers, can keep doing the work of growing food for our community.
Pick and Choose! Unlike a traditional CSA where you get a pre-packed box, our members get to choose their own produce at the pickup locations each week. This means you can grab more of what you love and skip the things you don’t like or need. You can also add a weekly dozen of our pasture-raised eggs to your share! Check out the details below.
Exclusives for Members! We have some fun surprises planned for this year, including some sweet melons and other CSA exclusive goodies! We love the work we do, and we’re looking forward to growing healthy, fresh food for our local community again this season.

In 2026, our CSA program will run for 20 weeks, from late-May through October. Every week, you will receive a diverse array of farm fresh produce. This year, MASA is proudly offering two sizes of Farmer’s Choice Boxes to fill your family’s needs.
At MASA, your CSA supports organic vegetable production, seed research, and the development of a Regional Seed Bank. The Seed Bank serves local farmers and gardeners of Boulder County and the Front Range, and is integral to the growth and security of our local food movement. In modern agriculture, it’s a rarity for a farm to grow its own seed. Being seed centric marks a radical return to the origins of farming, fostering our connection to seasons of the past and seasons of the future.

Switch Gears Farm is a small-scale farm operated by Brett and Vanita, located in Longmont. We primarily focus on growing high-quality produce and soil health, meaning we do not use pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Given our limited on-farm infrastructure to host farm pick-ups, we offer CSA pick-ups at eight total community locations (specifically in Aurora, Boulder, Denver, Lafayette, Longmont, and Niwot). All CSA deliveries occur on Thursdays, except for farmers market pick-ups over the weekends.
We offer two sizes for CSA memberships: half share (5-7 produce items per week) and full share (7-10 produce items per week). The shares are farmer’s choice – meaning you are not able to customize the shares week-to-week. When possible, we try to include at least one type of salad greens (e.g., lettuce, spinach, arugula), one type of roots (e.g., radishes, carrots, beets), and one type of alliums (garlic, onions, shallots, etc.). Also, we try not to repeat the same produce week after week unless we know they are heavily preferred or if they are in short season. Limited amounts of add-ons are also available for eggs and fruits.
CSA members are able to reschedule their CSA pick-up dates or locations week-to-week. And, CSA members can skip up to four shares without losing farm credit. Finally, CSA members can choose to pay throughout the season or request cost-adjusted shares prior to purchasing.
Finally, we offer gift cards/farm credit for those who wish to support early but still select their own produce at our market booths (we will be at City Park Farmers Market in Denver on Saturdays and Lafayette Farmers Market in Lafayette on Sundays this season. Both farmers markets are open from the first weekend of May through last weekend of October.
