Updates on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The government shutdown has ended as of November 12, 2025. The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) will start loading full November payments onto Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards and SNAP participants will begin to see payments on their EBT cards as early as Thursday afternoon, November 13th. All SNAP participants can expect their full payments to be available over the next few days.

The Hunger Free Colorado hotline is open Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The Hotline is statewide, toll-free and available to all Coloradans, regardless of legal status, in 150+ languages.

The Latest Information on SNAP

  • Full SNAP Benefits for November 2025 are on the way! Colorado SNAP participants will begin to see payments on their EBT cards as early as Thursday afternoon, November 13th. All SNAP participants can expect their full payments to be available over the next few days. Visit cdhs.colorado.gov/SNAP for the latest information on SNAP.
  • Coloradans should continue applying for benefits and can continue using their food benefits at retailers.
  • Colorado WIC is open and operating as normal.
  • Colorado public school students can continue to access free meals at school.
  • Double Up Food Bucks and Colorado SNAP Produce Bonus continue to operate as usual.

Free Holiday Food Boxes for SNAP Customers

To support our community, we’re giving away Holiday Food Boxes to SNAP customers on Wednesday, November 19th.

What: A pre-packed box with seasonal produce (such as potatoes, carrots, onions, and apples) and a pie crust and/or flour
Where: 1821 Lefthand Circle, Unit D, Longmont, Colorado 80501
When: Wednesday, November 19th from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
Who: SNAP Customers (must bring your EBT card to pick up)

Boxes will be distributed on a first-come, first served basis.

The current disruptions to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are not only hurting the 19,000 people in Boulder County who rely on the program to feed their families, but also the 100+ vendors who accept SNAP at the farmers markets.
