To test this theory we had @ashleyluvstoeat blind taste test super market produce vs. farmers market produce... and she picked the farm fresh produce every time!

Sweeter, juicier, and a better texture were the key giveaways that made her pick the farmers market option every time. In doubt? Give it a try yourself at the Longmont or Boulder Farmers Market each Saturday through November 23!

Generations of wisdom has created the @monroeorganicfarm that we know and love.

True farmers market kids, Kyle Monroe and Sam Caplan met bartering vegetables and baked goods on behalf of their parents (who both had farmers market stands of their own) before falling in love, starting their own family, and being the latest of four generations to run Monroe Organic Farms.

Founded in 1936 by Kyle's great grandfather, Monroe Organic Farms has been growing organically since day one. A founding farm to Boulder Farmers Market and one of the first Colorado farms to start a CSA program, they continue to be a cornerstone to the Boulder County farming community.

So, as you head to the farmers market this week, we invite you to follow your heart and get that 20 pound case of peaches. While it may be an intimidating leap, we can speak from experience in saying that they can go surprisingly quickly. 🍑

Want to be a vendor at our annual winter market? This is the last week to apply! We are still looking for Colorado growers and makers to join us for this special community event. 🤗

This year’s Winter Market will be taking place on Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8 from 9am to 3pm at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. It is the perfect place for folks to support local while doing holiday shopping, stock up on locally-produced goodies that will keep you going through the winter months, and get a good dose of cheer. ✨

Apply to join us as a vendor at this year’s Winter Market using the link in our bio. You do not have to have been a vendor at this season’s Saturday or Wednesday markets to apply! Applications will be accepted through Tuesday Sep. 17, so don’t wait! 🗓️
