At Boulder County Farmers Markets, we believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, locally grown food — and that the farmers and makers who produce that food deserve a thriving community to sell it in. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we operate seasonal farmers markets and a year-round online marketplace that brings local farmers, producers, and enthusiastic eaters together.

Market Set Up & Breakdown Volunteer

Our setup and breakdown crew is the backbone of market days and making them great — arranging signage, assisting vendors, setting up community spaces, and ensuring everything wraps up smoothly. This is a great hands-on role for someone who loves being part of the action and working as a team.

Saturdays in Boulder:
Set-up: 6 – 8 am
Breakdown: 1 – 3 pm

Saturdays in Longmont:
Set-up: 6 – 8 am
Breakdown: 1 – 2 pm

Wednesdays in Boulder:
Set-up: 1:30 – 3:30 pm
Breakdown: 6 – 8 pm

Market Compost Captain

Our Compost Captains manage composting stations at the market, educating vendors and shoppers about what can be composted, keeping stations organized, and ensuring food waste is diverted from the landfill. If you’re passionate about zero waste and love talking to people, this role is for you.

Saturdays in Boulder: 11 am – 2 pm

Saturdays in Longmont: 11 am – 1 pm

Wednesdays in Boulder: 5 – 7 pm

Food Access Delivery Driver

Help ensure that families using WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) benefits have reliable access to fresh, local food. As a WIC Volunteer Driver, you’ll use your own vehicle to deliver bags of food to homes in Boulder County, a support that directly removes one of the biggest barriers to fresh food access in our community. This role is ideal for someone with flexibility in their schedule and a heart for food equity.

Deliveries take place on Tuesdays throughout the whole year, pickup at our Longmont warehouse between 9:30 – 10:00 AM. Most routes take 1-2 hours to complete.
