What ‘producer-only’ means to us
Every farmer in our market grows their own produce and raises their own animals. Each of our producers and prepared food vendors craft their food in Colorado and source ingredients locally when possible.
How we vet our vendors
Vendors are selected to sell in the market based on the following values:
Producer-Only
As a vendor, you grow your own produce, raise your own animals, or prepare and package your own food locally. We do not permit reselling or co-packing.
Locally Sourced
You support local agriculture in the Front Range and Colorado by growing, producing, and sourcing as much as possible in Boulder County.
Quality
You offer high-quality products and ingredients that are delicious, minimally processed, and are free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial ingredients and preservatives.
Community Conduct
You practice high standards of customer service and treat vendors, customers, partners, visitors, and market staff with respect and appreciation.
Commitment
You’re no fair-weather farmer—you show up for our customers, participate in market-wide programs, and help build a thriving market no matter what.
2027 Market Season Applications
Applications are closed for Boulder County Farmers Markets’ 2026 season and annual Winter Market. Applications for the 2027 season will open on Nov. 17, 2026.
Musicians & Community Groups
We are not currently accepting applications for musicians or community groups to join us at the farmers markets. Applications for musicians will open in January of 2027 for the following season. For community groups, we’re using this form to reach mission-aligned organizations focused on Boulder County whose work relates to agriculture, local food, healthy eating, environmental issues, or community wellbeing.

We have three in-person markets each week:
In addition we have an in-person winter market the first weekend in December that takes place at the Boulder County Fairgrounds.
We also have an online marketplace where shoppers can shop from vendors interested in reaching a broader audience. Read more about our online marketplace here.
Boulder County Farmers Markets has the longest market season in Colorado with more than 34 markets annually. Saturday markets open in early April and end in late November each year, and our Boulder Wednesday market runs from May through October.
We run producer-only markets in which at least 60% of our market footprint is always dedicated to local growers and ranchers. We strive to offer the highest quality food from the most local sources, and work hard to make Boulder County Farmers Markets our community’s one-stop shop for groceries. We also have a year-round online presence. By championing Colorado producers as the rule, we ensure that we can continue to grow our mission of strengthening our local food system and supporting the farmers and vendors who are the foundation for future transformation.
This year, we’re reimagining community partnerships at our markets. Rather than our traditional application process, we’re holding this form to reach mission-aligned organizations focused on Boulder County whose work relates to agriculture, local food, healthy eating, environmental issues, or community wellbeing.
The interest form will help us explore deeper collaboration opportunities—including co-programming, cross-promotion, and community-building initiatives—beyond simple tabling. Note that submitting the form does not guarantee you a spot in BCFM’s Community Group program- all inquires are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
