Stop by the monthly artisan market this weekend

There are many things that make the Boulder County Farmers Markets special. Our vendors are all growing and making their products in Colorado. They each sell products that they produced, never reselling items from other farmers, ranchers, bakers, or chefs. The same standards apply to our artisan vendors – another thing that makes our markets special.

While the Saturday morning farmers markets are always filled with energized crowds, strumming guitars, and delicious goodies everywhere you look, one Saturday a month we welcome 20+ artisans from all over the state.

Their one-of-a-kind items include everything from artisanal body care products, to handmade clothing items and accessories, handcrafted jewelry, and more. These artisan markets are the perfect place to stock up on toxin-free candles, pick out the perfect gift for a loved one, or treat yourself to a unique piece that will garner compliments year-round.

Artisan markets fall on the second Saturday of the month in Boulder and the fourth Saturday of the month in Longmont. This means that if you miss one, you need not wait a whole month until you can catch the next one. It also means that this Saturday, if you make your way to 13th Street, you will stumble across the Boulder Farmers Market July Artisan Market!

Here is a rundown of what to expect at this Saturday’s Artisan Market:

Body Care

If we are using products on our skin, doesn’t it make sense for them to be natural and locally made? Our artisans offer an abundance of products you can feel good about like body butter from Yellow Wellness and Seven Gram Quarter, soap from Mountain Time Soap, deodorant from Mineralized Deodorant, and herbal products from Helleborus Botanicals.

Jewelry

Add a new staple jewelry item to your collection with something from a Colorado jeweler – many of which make their pieces with, or inspired by nature. Check out jewelry using pressed flowers from Czech Out The Rock, and one-of-a-kind pieces using dried fruits and mushrooms from Slices of Citrus. Find simple, elegant necklaces and earrings made with stones from dana birke, Golden Gal, and Mercer & Jayne Handcrafted Jewelry. For pressed metal pieces like rings and necklaces, Karen Edge Studio offers a wide selection of options.

Home Goods & Decor

Designed for the eco-conscious buyer and hand-poured in Boulder, Embur Candles have creative scents like “Walk Chamomile In My Shoes.” Make your purchase reach beyond your home with a candle from Wild Wax Candle Company where a percentage of sales go to wildlife conservation.

Add unique design pieces to your space with concrete decor from Greyscape Studio and House Americana. For a more delicate touch, ceramic pieces from Heather Kegel Studios and Lynette Case Ceramics will do the trick. Should you need wall art, check out Fauna Flow Art for nature spirit art, or Miriam Dubinsky for colorful floral prints that will bring life into your space. Wandering Maranta has plants, macrame, and colorful decor for your indoor garden that will bring your art to life.

Clothing

There is nothing like getting complimented on your outfit and being able to say that what you are wearing is handmade, local, and one-of-one. DenimWorx, an artist who upcycles denim clothing to make hand-crafted, wearable art creations will take your wardrobe to the next level. Goddess Gear is your one stop shop for natural fiber apparel, and Purple Turtle is the go-to for all of your tie-dye needs.

If you are walking by the market for a quick peruse or are searching for something specific, artisan market weekends are the perfect time to stop by, shop local, and know not only your farmer, but your soap maker too!
